Kegged cider and barleywine, tasted porter. last night

Just thought I'd let you know what's going on around here. One batch of cider made from pasteurized sweet cider the other not pasteurized. Guess which tastes better?

Barlewine is tastey, but I don't think the change in recipe was for the better. Of course it's still young and things could change.

The almost Baltic porter is really good as it warms to room temp. Kinda reminds me of an abbey ale right now. Not so much a Baltic porter.
