Some things I've figured out:
- If you need a secondary fermentation, it can be done in kegs. I do it all the time now.
- You can affix an airlock to the port where the pressure release valve screws in. Just get some vinyl tubing cut off about a half inch. Push your airlock into it then "screw" it in. Not sure of the exact hose size. (need to add a picture)
- Primary fermentation in kegs. The head space isn't large enough to allow room for the krausen. Some drops can be added to the wort to decrease the foaming.

I'm glad I popped over to your site today, very timely. The most recent basic brewing radio (listened to it on the train to and from work today) is with Chris C from BYO magaine. the entire show is dedicated to utilizing cornys as either primary, or secondary fermentors.
Not a whole lot of ground breaking stuff, but still definetly worth a listen.
Cheers,
Brian
Listening to it now. I'll add the link. Thanks :-)
Great info, I will be fermenting primary in a corny very soon.
Don't use Teflon tape to seal the bubbler. You end up with floating white film in your beer. Yes, don't ask me how I know this.
